RE: I need a new Kitchen Faucet
Ah come on...I get to complain about a tap don't I? (insert smilie stomping feet here). I haven't had any good stuff to complain about here at all lately so give me the tap.

Okay - that's true - you have adapted well. Still spring is just around the corner in your area so no rubbing it in. And Em - hows is she handling the change?

RE: I need a new Kitchen Faucet
Well okay, but I reserve the right to start whining when it gets to full boil in the summer. I do not do well in extreme heat so I may not be very cheerful in 26+ I'll warn you.

Eb has been doing great although one thing she has never liked is wet. There is a lot of wet here with it raining or snow melting and I am on the search for boots she will wear that are waterproof. Her winter ones aren't quite right for the amount of puddles and muck in the park. Apparently dog boot designers don't really consider long haired dogs when doing boots so it's been a search to find some. So days like to day when it's warm enough, we still aren't going to the park as she will just be a soaked and looking at me like I'm evil for taking her to marsh land. I have also had to fence off the pool because her walking around it worries me to no end (she sinks when she swims and I do not want to be jumping through ice to fish her out if she ventures to walk across right now). So water is a bigger concern her where she's concerned.

What is "hose hanging" issues? Are you talking the faucets with the gooseneck on a spring? As in example 1 in the posted pictures....

We were referencing the faucets with the pull out spray hose from the actual neck of the faucet. They never seem to stay tight after minimal use and always end up hanging down past the bottom of the faucet Dodgy

RE: I need a new Kitchen Faucet
I had a spray from the neck of the faucet in my last house and it was never an issue in the 3 years I had it, nor was the one in the house before that or the house before that. They weren't goose necks though. The one in this house seems to be fine and it is a goose neck and I'm betting it's been in this house for more than 5 years.

I have a feeling this really is one of those things where proper installation is the key (as price doesn't seem to be a huge factor since the ones I've had weren't over $100 yet two people I know who went high end did have problems with those sprayers whether in the faucet or separate). As long as the wieghts are set right there doesn't seem to be an issue with them retracting properly. You also have to make sure nothing is in the way of the hose below the sink as well so it has room to retract properly.

I like that one too but I still love the taller gooseneck.

There are exactly as many special occasions in life as we choose to celebrate.

Thanks, I guess because I already have a gooseneck, I was looking for a change. I haven't priced out the Delta yet so I'm still sort - of looking........
